Who I am

a radical, passionate woman for christ

Rev. Elaine Stubblefield serves as the Youth Ministry Coordinator at Zion.  She has preached God’s word since being licensed in 1994 and sees herself as a people’s leader for the postmodern world. She received her Masters of Divinity from United Theological Seminary in 2012 and was ordained by American Baptist Churches USA in 2016.  She is an educator with expertise in early childhood education and teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) currently working as a teacher for Princeton City Schools.  Rev. Stubblefield is fluent in Spanish and American Sign Language, often incorporating both when she ministers.  She envisions one church–multigenerational, multiethnic, multilingual–fulfilling the transformative legacy of Christ.  “I want to be able to communicate with all people,” she says when asked about her ministry, “and help the church fulfill God’s purpose for humanity.  I want to reach as many people as I can before I die.  We must help people live out God’s purpose in their lives and that will change the world..that’s radical.”
